Meet the crew

Nico didn’t plan to be a journalist, but one story changed everything.

After reporting on a Vietnam veteran’s funeral — one that ended with a 21-gun salute inspired by her byline — she turned down a better-paying PR job and never looked back.

After years in the newsroom, she’s putting down her notebook — sort of — and picking up the mic. With Single, again she’s finally telling her story — with sharp wit and a pencil (the original fidget spinner) tucked behind her ear.

She’s the pajama-wearing, donut run auntie, the punchline in Leisa’s jokes and the one who laughs first — usually at herself.

Single, again marks her next chapter: raw, funny, sometimes cringey, often unexpectedly tender. Because sometimes healing starts with heartbreak… and ends with a podcast.

Angela is a storyteller with grit, heart and an unapologetic voice.

A former Denver Post reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner for her coverage of the Columbine school massacre, Ang moved into opinion writing after years of bearing witness to other people’s pain as a way to stay close to the truth without being crushed by it.

She’s been a true friend across time zones and story deadlines, the kind who will likely miss your text message, but will always answer when it counts.

Ang may be retired from all the bullshit, but never from the stories — or the people — that connect us.

She’s powered by rich desserts (must have cream cheese), binge-worthy TV that sparks big conversations and long walks with her pooch, Tiber.

Josie is the calm behind the chaos, the sass behind the soundboard.

A transgender woman of faith, she’s weathered life’s storms with grace, humor and an ever-growing archive of obscure movie quotes. She’s the tech brain behind the trio — the one who makes the mics work, the edits flow and the show sound like we know what we’re doing!

She’s not just good with buttons and dials — she’s also got killer comedic timing. When Josie married her wife, they flipped a coin to see who’d walk the aisle first. And when her wife promised to love her forever, Josie replied deadpan, “Don’t threaten me with a good time.”

She lives for late-night movies, pop culture deep cuts and friends who get her references — and her heart.

Leisa is a force of nature all wrapped up in giggles and sunshine, but with a skeptical side-eye.

A one-time healthcare provider turned business owner and mother of five, she’s survived two shitty marriages, looked death in the face (ask her) and has had more than a few things go completely off the rails.

She’s the sister you call when you need laughter, loyalty or just a little leeway in a legally gray area. Whether Leis is cracking wildly inappropriate jokes or dancing barefoot to the blues, she brings the bold, the tender and the wildly unpredictable — all with zero filter.

She lives for the sun on her face, water at her feet and friends who don’t flinch when she says what everyone else is thinking.
